One constant that has been with Erb Financial since its early days is that we operate as a team. Though you may primarily deal with one person with your particular need, there is a strong team of people who are in some way involved in getting your work done. This provides consistency and dependability in our offerings, and provides our staff with a deeper well of resources and support in getting the best possible outcome for you. We would have it no other way.
Amy Erb DeCesare currently has the longest running tenure as a tax preparer with Erb Financial, beginning her career when Led Zeppelin and Steely Dan were popular bands. As you might expect, she also sees more people in tax season than any of the other preparers. If you find yourself in the ‘pink room’, you’re in her office.
Sharon Durrant is the person you’re most likely to first speak with when you call our office. Sharon has been working at the front desk of Erb Financial since 2003, and manages to keep things organized and working for the rest of us.
Chuck Erb works the tax ‘side’ of the business, as he has been for over 40 years. He has been an Enrolled Agent since 1993. Chuck likes to grow excess quantities of tomatoes and garlic as a diversion from tax work. He is one of the co-owners of the firm.
John Erb started out in the 60’s preparing taxes preparing taxes and transitioned to an investment advisor later in his career until recently. John currently works part time on special projects and as an advisor to the business. John is a co-owner of the firm.
Wendy Farren is seldom seen by customers in our office, despite working here since 1996. But she does the work that takes a special mind: reviewing tax returns. Wendy also oversees our other tax return ‘checkers’ to keep this part of our operation humming.
Jackie Farrell likes to keep busy. She keeps the Westside Farmer’s Market humming as the market manager, takes care of our Sales Tax filings with NY State, and is part of our checker team. And she might be the best dancer to work for Erb Financial.
Bob Lee has been a licensed Registered Representative and Investment Advisor with Erb Financial since 1998, after spending his first career with the Eastman Kodak Company as the Director of Human Resources for the Worldwide Research & Development Organization. Bob is an incredibly focused guy who starts out each day with a 10 mile walk before the markets even open. Year round. Really.
Pat Malizia prepares Estate and Trust returns for Erb Financial, gaining much of his knowledge and experience while working in the court system for 35 years. He spends his ‘off’ time golfing, making wine, and working on his ‘to do’ list at home.
Peter Sartori works as an investment advisor at Erb Financial. He is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, CRPC, certified by the College for Financial Planning. Peter started his career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, and later moved to Centra Financial Group before joining Erb Financial in 2014.
Marienne Siracusa is an Enrolled Agent who has been preparing income taxes for Erb Financial since 1985. If you ever thought that reading IRS publications was dry, don’t tell that to Marienne. She has her own library of them at home for recreational reading.
Mary Wallmann has been with Erb Financial since 2013, but she wasted no time in diving in after her arrival. She brought 15 years of prior experience with a CPA firm, became an Enrolled Agent in her first 3 months on the job with us, and has been an extreme tax junkie ever since. Ask her about the IRS tangible property regulations.
Phil Yargeau started preparing taxes with Erb Financial in 1985, and became licensed as a Registered Representative in 1993. He currently heads up Erb Financial’s Investment team and primarily focuses in this area. Despite other ‘retirements’ in the field, Phil still manages softball, basketball, and running in his spare time. Phil is a co-owner in the firm.
